At the very top (left hand side) is a Menu. If you click that, a menu bar slides out. It gives you the option of “All Locations at the top, and below that a choice of location by Bellisseria Theme as well as three other categories: “Resident Owned Places Of Interest” and “Non-Belli Open Homes” and “Information Locations.” The default is “All Locations.” If you click one of the other categories, it will ONLY list locations for that category. You can use the Menu to change Category OR to switch back to “All Locations.”
Please note that if a Bellisseria theme is not listed in the menu, that means there are currently no homes listed for that theme. The theme will appear in the Menu as soon as someone lists their home in that theme.
Each entry consists of a named SLURL Columnn, a photo, comments (e.g,. a short description) and the name of the owner. Please note that not all entries will have the photo.
If you want to visit that entry’s location, simply click the name in the leftmost (SLURL) column. That brings up the same Teleport Map that you should be used to seeing as almost all SL locations use it.
If you are not familiar with the standard SL Maps Teleport page, here is how to use it. Just click the big purple “Teleport” button and it will open a “Places” window on your viewer. Use the Teleport button on the Places window to Teleport to that location.
Before you add your place, make sure you are good with our Rules. You will find them listed on the Menu near the bottom. They are:
If you are not willing to abide by these rules, please do NOT add your location to our Parade Of Homes site.
Bring up the menu and scroll down to the very bottom. You will see an entry named “Add / Edit / Delete.” Click that.
It will bring up a page asking you to enter your UUID. You must enter your UUID in order to add or modify or delete any entry. Your UUID is the unique identifier that SL has assigned to your avatar. It is a long series of numbers and letters and dashes, and no other avatar will have the same ID as you.
This is how to find your UUID on the SL Viewer:
This is how to find your UUID on the Firestorm Viewer:
There are only 6 fields to enter, so this is very easy. The first 5 are required and the 6th is optional. However please be aware that people are more likely to want to visit your location if you show them a picture of it. (Pictures can be added or modified later if you so desire.)
Choose File – This brings up a computer window where you can navigate to where your picture is stored on your computer. Select the picture and select Open. When you do, you will not see a picture, but the name of the picture will appear next to the “Choose File” button.
There is a checkbox saying you have read and agree to our rules. You must check it if you agree. Otherwise, please do not submit your entry.
When you hit the submit button, it will bring you to an “Edit Home Result” page. That page will show you the entry and all fields should be exactly what you expect.
If you get errors, the messages may be a bit difficult to understand. Use the browser’s “back” button to look at the entry. The two most common types of errors are
Click the menu button and select the category of home you just entered.
Find your entry on that page. It should look exactly as you expect and that is what other people see. If there is a problem, you can edit it via the “Add / Edit / Delete” menu option.
NOTE: If you are the first person to add a home to a category, that category wont show in the menu. Just reload and all should be well.
Bring up the menu and scroll down to the very bottom. You will see an entry named “Add / Edit / Delete.” Click that.
It will bring up a page asking you to enter your UUID. You must enter your UUID in order to add or modify or delete any entry. (If you don’t know how to find your UUID, refer to Section 2 which explains it in detail.) Then click the Submit button.
A new page will pop up.
Scroll below the “Add a New Home” section and you will find a section called “Edit Existing Home.” That section will have rolls for every entry you have in the Parade of Homes database. Most people will only have one entry. If you have more than one, you need to find the row of the entry you wish to modify or delete in this section.
Now this is where it gets a little confusing if you have more than 1 entry. It will show you EVERY entry you have on the Parade Of Homes database, not just the one you changed. All the rows will ave a header above them saying “Listing Retained.” The ones you did not modify will be unchanged. The one you modified will show the new data. Find that one and verify it is exactly as you expect it to be.
The most common reason to change multiple entries at the same time is if you pay Linden Lab and change your login name and want to update your entries to your new name. This is very easy to do. It works exactly the same way as updating a single entry, except you modify multiple entries before you hit submit.
Bring up the menu and scroll down to the very bottom. You will see an entry named “Add / Edit / Delete.” Click that.

The Leftmost column is a checkbox that allows you to delete an entry. If you click that box, it will remove that row. You may click one or more rows at the same time. Use this to remove any entries you do not want.
Then scroll down to the Disclaimer and check that you have read the note. Finally, hit the submit button.
Again, the results will list EVERY row you have in the Parade of Homes Database, including the ones you just removed. But instead of “Listing Retained” at the top of the row, it will say “Listing Deleted.”
You can verify that the entry is deleted by using the main menu to go back to the category the listing used to be in and verifying that it is no longer there.
